How to Set Up the Bowflex Power Pro XTL
The Bowflex Power Pro gives you a means of performing a wide range of exercises, without taking up all the space of a full-blown gym. The box you receive when you order this equipment has a lot pieces in it, and it's up to you to assemble it. This can be a slightly complicated process. Fortunately, if you have an idea how all the parts fit together, you will find the task more manageable.

- Bowflex Power Pro XTL
- 7/16" wrench
- 9/16" wrench
- 1/2" open-end wrench
- Crescent wrench
- Rubber mallet
- Phillips-head screwdriver

Push two square-head 3/8" x 3/4" bolts through the two holes in the rear leg bolt keeper and slide that into the seat rail channel on the side closest to the warning label, so that the edge of the bolt keeper is flush with the edge of the rail.

Repeat the previous step with the other bolt keeper, on the other seat rail channel.

Place the rear leg over the bolts in the seat rail channel, and install it using washers and nuts on each bolt.

Install the pivot bracket on the other end of the seat rail, using 4 3/4" bolts. It should be flush with the end of the seat rail.

Install the riser bracket on the underside of the seat rail using 2 3/4" bolts, then attach the riser bracket to the standing platform using the 1" knob.

Separate the bench from the seat using the quick-release hinge located beneath the seat.

Line up the wheels on the rowing seat with the seat channel, and push the rowing seat into place. Attach the end cap to the end of the seat channel.

Slide the u-bar into the vertical poles on the main platform, and use 2" bolts to screw it loosely in place.

Attach the vertical mainframe to the u-bar, using 3/8" x 2 1/2" bolts. Use 3/8" x 4" bolts to fasten the vertical mainframe to the lower portion of the u-bar.

Tighten all the u-bar bolts evenly.

Place the power rod pack into the top of the vertical mainframe, and gently tap it in place with a rubber mallet. Secure the power rod pack in place using four #12 screws.

Attach the adjustable bracket to the bottom of the bench with a tap using a tap bolt, and attach the bench cup to the bottom of the bench using a #14 screw.

Re-attach the seat to the bench using the quick-release bracket, and adjust the bracket so that the seat is in a reclined position relative to the bench.

Push a #14 screw through the center notch of the incline bracket on the bottom of the bench, then screw it into the top of the rod pack.

Slide the bench forward, then use the L-pin to attach the leg extension to the seat rail.

Slide the lat tower into the vertical mainframe, then secure the main bracket and repair kit brackets around the joints in the lat tower using 3 1/2" bolts.

Unwrap the cables and push them through the lat tower, leg attachment and arm band pulleys.
