Visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website to download application forms to extend a WX-1 visa.

A WX-1 Canadian worker visa is a temporary work visa that does not require a work permit from the Department of Human Resources and Skills Development, HRSDC, in Canada. The WX-1 visa is similar to a tourist visa in that it can be extended temporarily. To obtain a permanent work visa, WX-1 visa holders must find employment with a sponsoring employer and obtain a work permit. To simply extend a WX-1 visa requires only the submission of forms, documents and an application fee by mail.
