How to Make a Rolling Pin from a Wine Bottle

How to Make a Rolling Pin from a Wine Bottle thumbnail
Traditional rolling pins are made of wood, marble or glass.

Rolling pins, or dough rollers, are essential gadgets for making pies, pizza crust, biscuits and more. Despite their usefulness, they are absent from many kitchens. You can easily make a rolling pin from a wine bottle. In fact, these improvised rollers are ideal because they are heavy and can be easily chilled. Heavy rolling pins allow you to roll very thin dough, and cold rolling pins cause the dough to stick less. Additionally, the chilled rollers make flakier pie crusts because the fat in the crust will not melt during the rolling process. Does this Spark an idea?
