How to Change a Shortcut Key in AutoCAD 2007 Lite

With the AutoCAD 2007 Lite application installed on your computer, you can design professional drawings and use numerous features to help edit two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings. You can access many of the features in AutoCAD 2007 using keyboard shortcuts, which help you to quickly complete various tasks. Using the Command Alias Editor feature, you can create and change your own shortcuts for commands that you want to use when working with your drawings.

      Open the AutoCAD 2007 Lite application on your computer and click the "Express" option from the top toolbar menu.

      Click the "Tools" option and click the "Command Alias Editor" option. The AutoCAD Alias Editor dialog box will appear.

      Scroll through the list of aliases and commands to find the keyboard shortcut that you want to change. Click the alias name for the command that you want to change

      Click the "Edit" button and the Edit Command Alias dialog box will appear. Enter the keyboard shortcut into the "Alias" field if you want to change the alias used. For example, if you want to open the 3D configuration command you could type "3D" for the alias.

      Select the command you want to change for the keyboard shortcut from the "AutoCAD Command" list. Click the "OK' button and click the "Yes" button to confirm your changes.
