      Call Donate a Car 2 Charity at 866-748-1928 or use its online donation form (see Resources) to set up a time for them to come and pick up your vehicle. You must have the car title and provide the basic information on your car. This includes make, model, year, mileage and any problems associated with the car. Donate a Car 2 Charity states that most cars in the Cleveland, Ohio, area can be picked up within 24 hours. Make sure you request a receipt for tax purposes.

      Donate your car to Kars 4 Kids and receive a free hotel voucher, in addition to your receipt for a tax deduction. If you live in Cleveland you can either call 877-KARS-4-KIDS or you can use its online donation form (see Resources). You must have the car title, but you do not need to have the car keys. Be prepared to tell Kars 4 Kids the year, make, model, color and mileage of the car. You also should list whether the car is in running condition and anything else you know about the car. Kars 4 Kids will then arrange for a tow truck driver to pick up the car at your location.

Cleveland Reads, Dress for Success and the Cleveland Foundation are just three of the Cleveland Ohio charities Cars 4 Charities supports. Call 888-444-2392 or use Cars 4 Charities online donation form (see Resources) to arrange a pickup time for your car. Be aware that Cars 4 Charities requires more detailed information than other car donation sites. You will need to know if your tires are inflated, how long the car has been sitting in your garage and the condition of the interior and exterior of the car, in addition to the other basic information. Once your car has been towed, Cars 4 Charities will send you a tax deductible receipt.

  • If you do not have the title to your car, you must obtain a replacement title from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles ahead of time.

  • Be truthful about the condition of your car. You won't get your tax receipt until after the car has been examined anyway.
