1
Monitor your numbers and record them in a database. There are many computer databases to monitor percentages of numbers and record them in easy-to-read ways. You have to start somewhere, even if it is in the middle of your sales career. Start with what you have now and go from there. There is always room for improvement.

2
Record your sales in the computer program or ledger each time you make a sale. Do not miss a single sale, as this can throw off your books entirely. Keep a record of each sale, your commission on that sale and how much the sale was for.

Calculate all of your numbers at the end of the month. A monthly system is the most efficient and reliable way to understand your numbers. This keeps you consistently aware of what you have made so far. Calculate your personal gain, commission and amount of sales made at the end of the month. Compare these to your beginning numbers to determine where you are now in comparison to where you were. Do this for several months consecutively to determine what your total sales increases have been.
