How to Clean Air-Hose Fittings
Cleaning the air-hose fittings on your compressed-air machine is fairly easy and can be done with ordinary household cleaners. The process should take less than 10 minutes. You should regularly clean your air hoses and hose fittings to make sure the compressed air is distributed properly when the machine is turned on. Pour a capful of laundry detergent into the bucket and fill the bucket with water. Mix the water and liquid detergent with the wooden or plastic spoon.

Detach the air-hose fittings from the compressed-air machine. Most fittings screw on and off.

Put the hose fittings into the soapy water. If you are able to detach the air hose from your particular machine, submerge the entire air hose and the fittings in the bucket.

Allow the hose fittings and air hose to soak for about 10 minutes, fully submerged in the water and liquid detergent mixture.

Remove and rinse the hose fittings and air hose under a sink faucet. Allow the hose fittings to dry completely before reattaching the fittings to the hose and, if applicable, the hose to the machine.
