Instructions for a Panasonic Breadmaker

Remove the bread pan from the unit by opening the lid and lifting up on the bread pan handle.

Install the kneading paddle on the pin at the bottom of the bread pan.

Place the dry ingredients for your bread recipe in the bread pan first. Do not put in any fruit, such as raisins, in at this time; although they are dry ingredients, they will be added later.

Add the liquid ingredients on top of the dry ingredients. Do not mix or stir them together.

Place the bread pan securely on the bread pan mount located in the bottom of the machine. The pan will lock into place.

Add the dry yeast. Some Panasonic models have a yeast dispenser where the yeast is added; other models require the yeast to be poured directly into the bread pan. It is very important that the yeast is added last.

Shut the bread machine's lid.

Press the "Select" button to select the type of cycle appropriate for your bread recipe, then press the "Size" button to select the loaf size for your recipe. Confirm that the LCD screen displays the correct type and size of bread.

Select the correct crust color by pressing the "Crust" button to toggle between dark and light crust settings.

Press the "Start" button to start the machine's operation. If your bread recipe requires additions such as raisins, these should be added when the machine beeps halfway through the cycle, before baking.

Allow the bread to cool in the machine at the end of the cycle. Open the lid and use the bread pan handle to remove the bread pan from the machine base. Upend the bread pan and shake gently to remove the fresh loaf of bread.
