The Westell VersaLink A90-327W15-06 is a wireless router designed to share a high-speed connection from your cable or DSL modems with multiple nearby computers. However, there is a known problem connecting to the Westell VersaLink A90-327W15-06 modem with certain wireless local area network cards, especially those designed by Dell. In order to resolve the WLAN card issues, you need to upgrade the router to the latest firmware version.

  • Westell VersaLink A90-327W15-06 router
  • Two Ethernet cables

      Make sure your Westell VersaLink A90-327W15-06 router is plugged in to the power adapter and connected to your cable or DSL modem using a standard Ethernet cable.

      Press the "Reset" button on the back of the Westell VersaLink A90-327W15-06 device to restore the router to its original settings. The process of resetting the router can take up to one minute to finish.

      Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the "LAN" port on the Westell VersaLink A90-327W15-06 router and connect the other end to the Ethernet port on a PC desktop or laptop.

      Download the firmware update software from the Verizon website (see Resources).

      Press the "Run" button in the dialog box that appears to upgrade the router's firmware. When the process finishes, you can unplug the ethernet cable and use your WLAN card to connect to the router wirelessly.
