How to Make a Pipe Fast
You can make a pipe fast from common household materials. Travel for work or pleasure may leave you without your favorite reusable smoking pipe. A working disposable version can be formed in a matter of minutes. A used smoking pipe can stink up the surrounding clothes in luggage if it is packed. The inexpensive alternative can simply be discarded after you are finished using it. Handmade smoking pipes are an ideal substitute when away from the home.

1
Pull out 4 inches of heavy-duty aluminum foil from the box. Tear it from the roll carefully.
-
2
Set the pen on the foil so one end rests on the 4-inch long side and it its length runs parallel to the other side. Tear off the section of foil beyond the length of the pen. Discard the torn off section or return it to the foil box.

3
Roll the aluminum foil around the pen loosely. Keep one end on the 4-inch side as you roll so the pen stays straight. Carefully slide out the pen.
-
4
Insert the tapered writing end of the pen ¾-inch into one end of the aluminum foil tube. Pinch the tube just before where the pen ends with your thumb, index finger and middle finger at the same time. Slide out the pen.
-
5
Look down into the newly created bowl of the smoking pipe to see if there is a tiny opening at the base. Use the tapered tip of the pen to open the hole slightly or make its shape uniform if it is nearly sealed shut. Bend the remaining length of the aluminum foil tube in the middle at an angle of approximately 120 degrees without pinching off the flow of air through the cylinder.
-
6
Fill pinched bowl end loosely with the tobacco or other smoking blend until it is ¾ full. Put the opposite end of the new pipe in your mouth and suck in as you light the contents of the bowl. Tap all the burnt ash out of the pipe before refilling the bowl.
