Instructions

    • 1

Measure the length and width of the flat surface where you will be applying the contact paper.

    • 2

Transfer the measurements to the contact paper, using a straightedge and pencil or marker to join the marks. Cut the paper along the lines, using scissors.

    • 3

Place the paper in its location to test the fit. Trim any excess with the scissors. Remove the paper.

    • 4

Peel off the paper backing to reveal the adhesive.

    • 5

Line up the paper with the flat surface where it will be applied. Take care that the adhesive does not touch the sides of cabinets, drawers, or any item in the way.

    • 6

Lay the paper down gently on one side of the flat surface so it is parallel with the edges. Lay the rest of the paper down with one hand while smoothing it and sticking it to the surface with the other hand to prevent bubbles.
