How do I Use a Matco Torque Wrench?
Matco Tool Company offers a large array of torque tools, including wrenches and bars. The torque bars are used with impact guns to stop the gun at a generalized level of torque. The torque wrenches complete the process by applying specific amounts of torque. Beam and dial wrenches simply attach to the bolt and display the amount of torque being used. Fixed-head and micrometer torque wrenches require adjustment with each use, but they still maintain the same simplicity of use as the other styles.
Instructions

1
Loosen the adjustment nut located around the handle.
-
2
Spin the handle to the proper torque. The torque measurements are printed on the bar of the wrench. Spin the handle until the top of the handle is flush with the mark for the desired level of torque. The numbers sit higher than the respective mark, so make sure you are at the proper mark.
-
-
3
Tighten the adjustment nut.
-
4
Attach the wrench to the bolt. Use soft, steady movements to apply the torque. Micrometer and fixed-head wrenches will click when you hit the proper level of torque. Dial and beam wrenches will show the amount of torque on a guide.
