Instructions

    • 1

Measure the length and width of the mirror strips. Use strips with the same measurement for a more consistent design pattern.

    • 2

Place the laser leveler on the wall along the top edge of the mirror strip location. Snap a chalk line using the leveler as a guide.

    • 3

Place the laser leveler below the chalk line at 10 strip lengths down and snap another chalk line guided by the leveler.

    • 4

Measure the length along the top chalk line and mark a distance from the end to the point that represents the width of 10 mirror strips.

    • 5

Place the laser leveler running vertically at each marked location and snap a chalk line at each mark through the top and bottom lines to create a rectangular box on the wall.

    • 6

Measure down half a strip length from the top chalk line and snap one additional chalk line at this location. This will allow you to offset the tiles accordingly.

    • 7

Apply liquid nail to the back of one mirror strip and line it up to the top-right corner. Install nine additional tiles with liquid nails vertically to cover the right edge from top to bottom, using the chalk line as an installation guide.

    • 8

Install the first strip in the second row directly to the left of the first row. Apply liquid nails to the backside of the strip and line the top edge with the second chalk line down that marks the halfway point of the mirror strip.

    • 9

Install 8 additional strips vertically below the first strip, which will leave half a mirror strip length at the top and bottom of the row uncovered.

    • 10

Repeat steps 7 to 9 until the outline has all 10 rows of mirror strips installed.

    • 11

Mark the center of 5 mirror strips on the backside lengthwise using a fine-tipped marker. Cut the 5 mirror strips directly in half to create 10 mirror strip half sections. Apply liquid nails to the back of each strip and install them in the 10 uncovered spaces.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add trim around the mirror strips for a more finished appearance.

  • For a movable strip mirror, install strips onto a 1/4 inch plywood sheet.
