Instructions

  1. Installing the Fan

    • 1

Measure the width of the window you wish to place the fan in, using a tape measure.

    • 2

Pull out the extenders, located on both sides of the fan, until they rest against the sides of the window.

    • 3

Place the fan in the window with the extender panels extended, if necessary. Keep the screen in your window.

    • 4

Lower the window on top of the fan. The window should fit into the Window Grabber, located at the top of the fan, to keep the fan in place.

    • 5

Pop open the extender lock at the top of the fan and pull out the built-in extender panel on the right, to fill any gaps between the fan and the window frame.

Using the Fan on a Table or Floor

    • 6

Turn fan upside down and locate the two spaces for attaching snap-on feet.

    • 7

Use the two snap-on feet that came with the fan and pop each one into place in each of the openings.

    • 8

Secure the snap-on feet using the screws that were included with the fan.

    • 9

Place the fan on a table, the floor or any other flat surface indoors.

    Operating the Window Fan

    • 10

Plug the electrical cord of the fan into a standard 120-volt AC outlet. Set the speed control switch to 0. Turn the thermostat to "High."

    • 11

Use the slide switch to set the fan to "In," "Out," or "Exchange."

    • 12

Adjust the fan speed by turning the switches to "1," "2" or "3."

    • 13

Adjust the thermostat by turning the dial to the left while the fan is in operation, until the fan stops. This will set the comfort level of the thermostat. Leave it on this setting and the fan will automatically shut off when it reaches the desired level. The fan will resume operation when the temperature rises.

    • 14

Turn the dial all the way to the right, to the largest dot, if you would like to keep the fan running continuously.
