How to Clean Interior Dark Wood Paneling

Interior dark wood paneling is a wall option that provides a traditional, natural room appearance. Just like any other area of the home, the paneling requires cleaning at times to remove dust and buildup. To keep the wood paneling looking its best, it is important to clean with products that remove buildup without causing damage to the paneling. You can do this with a homemade cleaning solution and a few inexpensive cleaning tools.

Things You'll Need

• Feather duster
• Cleaning rags
• Spray bottle
• Water
• Dish soap
• Furniture polish

Instructions

1. Wipe a feather duster over the paneling once or twice per month, or as needed when dust accumulates.

2. Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups water and 1/2 tsp. dish soap.

3. Spray the cleaner onto a cleaning rag and wipe over the wood paneling.

4. Pull out the shine of the wood by spraying a fresh cleaning rag with furniture polish and wiping over the paneling.
