How to Prevent Infinite Loop

When you create an animation using Adobe Flash software, the animation is set by default to play on an infinite loop, meaning each time the animation reaches its end, it restarts itself over and over again. You can put an end to the infinite loop in Flash animations; however, you must know the "stop action" code in order to do so.

Instructions

    • 1

      Double-click the icon for the Flash item you want to alter. The file opens.

    • 2

      Double-click "Layer 1" and rename it "Animation."

    • 3

      Click "New Layer" at the bottom left of the timeline panel.

    • 4

      Click the red playhead in the timeline and drag it to the last frame of the animation.

    • 5

      Click the "Insert" menu, and select "Timeline" and "Keyframe."

    • 6

      Click the selection tool -- it looks like an arrow -- and click on the last frame of the animation.

    • 7

      Place your cursor in the text area next to (line 1) and type: stop();

    • 8

      Click "File" and "Save" to save the animation. It now no longer runs on an infinite loop.
