How to Put a Master Volume Control Icon in a System Tray
All versions of Windows allow users to adjust the volume of any speaker or headset connected to the computer through the interface. This is useful if you want to make volume adjustments without physically reaching out to the physical device just to change the volume level. The Volume Mixer application lets you adjust the volume levels of individual applications if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7. If you want to access the master volume control quickly, place the icon on the system tray so you can make adjustments in a single click.
