How to Send IR Commands From a PC
Some computers have the capability to communicate through the use of infrared (IR) technology. Once a computer has an installed and enabled IR port, it can communicate with another device that also has an IR port. Cell phones, cameras and pocket PCs are examples of devices that can communicate with an IR-enabled computer. For the communication to occur, the IR port of both devices must face each other as IR communication occurs through line of sight.
