Virtual Makeover 2 Troubleshooting

"Virtual Makeover 2" is a software program that allows the user to experiment with hairstyles, makeup and accessories. By uploading a digital photo, you can experiment with different styles without changing anything on yourself in reality. The program is installed on your computer via a CD. When the program is not working properly, you can troubleshoot to find out what went wrong.

Clean the CD and look for scratches. If the CD is scratched or dirty, the computer might display an error stating that it cannot read the CD. When this happens, eject the CD. Use a CD cleaning cloth and gently wipe the CD to remove dust. Look for any noticeable scratches and then reinsert it into the computer and try the program again. If it still does not work, it is possible that the CD is badly damaged and needs to be replaced.

Consider your computer system. According to Microsoft's website, the 64-bit Windows 7 system is not compatible with "Virtual Makeover 2;" however, the 32-bit Windows 7 system is compatible. To find out which type of Windows is installed on your computer (if you have Windows 7 or Windows Vista) click on "Start" on your desktop, then click "Computer" and then "System properties." In "System" and then "System type," it will tell you whether it's a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. If you're using Windows XP, click "Start" on your desktop, then "Control Panel" and then double-click on "System." You will find the operating system type under the "General" tab.

Consider the accessories or hairstyle. Some of accessories and hairstyles featured in the program are not available with the 360-degree view. If the arrow rotation button is shaded out, your selection cannot be viewed in all directions.
