How to Find Parking Near the Chicago O'Hare Airport

Look for parking before you arrive at O'Hare.

Knowing where to park at Chicago O'Hare, one of the largest international airport hubs in the United States, can be its own challenge. With several lots surrounding the airport and a plethora of nearby options, how do you know what is reasonably priced, what is available and how to get to the airport from the lot? The Chicago Department of Aviation manages a helpful site with details for the lots surrounding the airport.

Instructions

1. Find out from which terminal your flight leaves. This will give you an indication which lots will be closest to your departure area.

2. Click on the links in the Resources section to check parking availability and rates online.

3. Reserve a space at a garage on the About Airport Parking website. Garages that allow reserved parking may be a little further from the airport, but an airport shuttle is usually provided. O'Hare's main parking lots A, B and C do not accept reservations.

4. Head to the airport and turn your radio to AM 1630 to listen to current parking availability and rates at lots near O'Hare.

5. Choose a lot on the airport property or near the airport. Economy parking within the airport complex is located on Zemke Road, east of the airport. Area hotels also offer daily parking rates, along with shuttles to the airport.
