The 40/40 Club is the brainchild of hop-hop great JayZ and his old friend Juan Perez. Their vision was to create an All-American sports bar in an elegant setting. The name of the place is derived from the 40/40 club in major league baseball where there are only four players who've hit 40 home runs and stolen 40 bases during a season. There are three options to become a member of this exclusive club and they are limited.

Spend $1,500 at 2010 prices and you'll receive all the benefits of a gold membership for one year, the least expensive of the three levels. You and a guest will not wait to get into the club, your seating is guaranteed, and you will receive frequent updates on each location, new openings, as well as coming events and new products. You and one guest will receive an invitation to all international openings of the club, and you can book the VIP room on the second level if you are planning a special function, if it is available, at no additional charge. Finally, you and one guest will be invited to preview shows, special events, photo shoots and new product launches.

Purchase annually a 40/40 Club purple membership for $2,500 in 2010 and you'll receive all the benefits of a gold membership, plus you'll receive a 10 percent discount on all bottle purchases, VIP entry to the club for nine additional guests on weekends and unlimited guests from Sunday through Thursday. You will also have access to the first level private room that is valued at $3,000, and you will receive a signature package worth $700. And whenever the club has a paid event such as a boxing match or other program, you will be invited free-of-charge.

For $5,000 in 2010, you can purchase a corporate membership for one year that entitles you to access to the club for you and up to 20 other guests. You will also receive a 5 to 10 percent discount of your total bill and your name will appear on the company's website. In addition, if you spend at least $50,000 a year, your corporate membership will be free. Any event of $40,000 or more will be discounted by $10,000, and you and up to four of your guests will pay no cover charge for various paid events at the club. If you are planning a business event that requires audio/visual equipment, the club will provide it free of charge.
