How to Reset a Key Box Combination

A key box is handy item to have in your home. Whether you use it as a fire safe or as a convenient way to store cash you have laying around, it can be devastating when you forget your combination. Thankfully, there is a way to reset your key box combination so you can go back to using it and knowing you'll be able to get your belongings out whenever you want.

• Paper clip

Instructions

1. Turn the combination dials to the current combination. If it's brand new, this combination will be in the manual or the default, 0-0-0

2. Bend a paperclip straight and find the reset button around the side of the lock. Push it into the reset button, and hold it in place for the rest of the steps.

3. Turn the combination dials to the new combination you want. Pull the paperclip from the reset button, setting the combination to the new one. Test the new combination.
