How to Program a Remote for a 1080I Mitsubishi TV?

If you have a Mitsubishi 1080i HDTV and are trying to set up a universal remote to work with your set, you need to know the unit's remote code. Once this code is programmed into your universal remote, it will be able to control your TV.

  • Turn on your Mitsubishi 1080i HDTV.

  • Enter "Program Mode" on your universal remote control. All models are different, so use the instruction manual that came with the device.

  • Enter the following code into your universal remote control: 0150. This is one of five universal remote codes that could work with your Mitsubishi TV. If your television set turns off, the code was successful. If the television set does not turn off, continue to "Step 3."

  • Try entering 0019, 0093 or 0178 into the "program mode" on your remote control. These are the remainder of the Mitsubishi 1080i TV remote codes. One of these codes will cause your Mitsubishi TV to turn off. This means that the accepted code has been inputted correctly, and you can now use your universal remote control to operate your HDTV.
