How to Change a Name on a MacBook
Your MacBook’s name refers is the title you see when you log in to your computer. More importantly, it is the name your MacBook assumes on a family or work network, so it is important that it reflects and is easy for other to relate to you. You are asked to name your computer when you first turn it on--fortunately, though, it is very easy to change the name of your MacBook, and the process takes less than a minute.

Click on the apple icon on the top left hand corner of your screen.

Scroll down to and click on “System Preferences.”

Click on the “Sharing” folder.

Click on the “Computer Name” field to edit the name of your MacBook.
