How to Convert Movies to PS3 in High Definition

Convert your movies to a high-quality PS3 video file.

A movie on your DVD can be converted into the Playstation 3's MPEG-4 video format using a DVD to PSP converter program. This converter program can rip the entire DVD or individual chapters of the DVD and convert it into a 720p or 1080p resolution, which is standard for the Playstation 3 (PS3). Although there are different DVD to PSP video converters available online, they all provide the same function of video ripping and converting.

Things You'll Need

• DVD to PSP converter program
• Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later

Instructions

1. Open the DVD to PSP converter program on your computer, and press the button near your DVD-RW drive on the computer to open the disk tray.

2. Lay the disk on the tray with the label side facing up, and push the tray in to insert the disk.

3. Click "File" at the top of the program's menu, and click "Open DVD" on the sub-menu. Select the DVD's icon from the drop-down menu at the top of the Open DVD window, and click the "Open" button.

4. Check the box next to the titles (chapters) to select them for conversion, and click the drop-down menu next to "Profile." Select "PS3 Video (1080P) MPEG-4 (*.mp4)."

5. Click the "Record" icon or the "Convert" button to begin the video conversion from the DVD to the PS3 format.
