How to Report Drug Abuse in Indiana
Drug abuse is a serious problem in Indiana. Marijuana, cocaine, and crystal meth are commonly transported and distributed in Indiana, as its seven interstate highways and its waterway systems -- e.g., Lake Michigan and the rest of the St. Lawrence Seaway -- add to the convenience of the process. Many residents are affected in one way or another, and it is important that drug use is recognized and reported when it becomes apparent. There are a few ways in which the concerned neighbor can intercede and help users take their first steps toward recovery.

Confirm your suspicions first. Ensure that your suspicions about individual drug use or criminal drug activity are well-founded before reporting anything. When you are well-versed in the warning signs and know what to look for, hard drug use can be easy to spot. Responsibly keep an eye on the suspect for long enough to know they are in trouble. Then, you can take action to help stop them in their tracks and seek recovery or rehabilitation.

Once you have the backing of your community, you will have help and support in reporting future incidents.
