Polyester Strapping Tensioner Instructions
Polyester strapping tensioners are called tie downs or ratchets. There is a polyester strap attached to one end of the center tensioner in a fixed position. The other loose end of the strapping goes around objects to anchor them and feeds through the tensioner. This type of securing tool is available in several widths for securing small packages or large loads on a utility trailer.

Grasp the strapping on the side of the tensioner where the strapping feeds through it. Pull the strapping out of the tensioner to loosen it. Pull and hold the lock with one hand and pull the strapping entirely out of the tensioner.
