Cleaning your kitchen counter on a daily basis keeps the counter looking its best, and also prevents foul smells from setting in on the counter. An improper cleaning method could cause stains and/or scratches to appear on the counter. Things You'll Need

  • Nonabrasive or microfiber cloths
  • Spray bottle
  • Water
  • White vinegar
  • Non-scratch sponge

Instructions

    • 1

      Dampen a clean nonabrasive cloth. Microfiber cloths work well. Wipe the kitchen counter to remove any solid particles or unwanted liquids from the counter.

      Fill a clean spray bottle with a 50-50 mix of warm water and white vinegar. Shake the bottle to mix the two liquids thoroughly.

      Spray the cleaner onto a clean cloth.

      Wipe the kitchen counter thoroughly with the cloth. Then, dry the counter with a dry portion of the same cloth or with a new cloth. Proceed to Step 5 for hard-to-remove stains.

      Soak a non-scratch sponge in warm water. Wring the sponge out. Spray the cleaning solution onto the stained portion of counter. Scrub the counter thoroughly with the sponge until the stain is removed. Dry the counter with a clean non-abrasive cloth.
