How to Reset Craftsman Garage Door Remote Keypad
A Craftsman garage door remote keypad is permanently attached to the outside of your garage, and it allows you to open the garage door without a key or garage door opener. The garage door opener mechanism itself is inside the garage. To open the garage door, the user must enter a preset code into the remote keypad, then press the "Enter" button. Climb the ladder to reach your garage door opener inside your garage. Locate the "Reset" button on the garage door opener. The "Reset" button is often a red or blue button.

Press and hold the "Reset" button for approximately six seconds, at which point the light on the garage door opener beside the "Reset" button turns off.

Press the "Reset" button, then quickly go to the remote keypad on the outside of the garage and enter the new code. Then press "Enter."

Continue to enter the desired code and press the "Enter" button until the light on the garage door opener flashes, indicating that the keypad has been reprogrammed.
