      Turn off the water in the home.

      Remove the old kitchen faucet. Unscrew the nuts for the faucet and faucet sprayer with a basin wrench. Lift away the old faucet from the sink.

      Clean the faucet area with a soft cloth and water. The old faucet will leave behind a lot dirt and grime. This grime needs to be cleaned away before the new faucet is installed.

      Climb under the sink and install the washer and mounting hardware for the faucet. Consult the manufacturer directions before beginning. Each faucet will have slightly different installation instructions. Thread the nuts into place with your hands. On top of the sink, check the position of the faucet to ensure that it is straight. Finish tightening the nuts with a wrench.

      Thread the pullout sprayer through the sink hole. Connect the pullout sprayer to the faucet body with an adjustable wrench.

      Connect the water supply to the faucet. Wrap plumbers tape clockwise around the threaded portion of the water supply fittings. Attach the hot and cold supply lines to the faucet. Tighten them in place with a wrench.

      Check the faucet to ensure that it is in the off position. Turn on the water in the home. Check the connections under the sink for leaks. If no leaks are found, turn on the faucet. Check for leaks again.
