How to Reset the Ink in a Canon MX860

Canon MX860 ink cartridges, like many other manufacturers' ink cartridges, have microchips in them to help communicate certain information to the printer. This information also helps with monitoring ink levels to assist in creating a quality print. After refilling an ink cartridge, it may be necessary to reset the cartridge chip for the MX860 printer to recognize the new ink level. This task can be accomplished by using a chip resetter.
