This type of fireplace does not require any type of venting for fumes. A common problem that occurs with this type of fireplace is having the flame go out when using the control knob.   1. Flame Goes Out

      Press on the control knob firmly to make sure it is pressed in all the way. Move the knob to the right to increase the heat.

      Verify that the manual shut-off valve is completely open. Turn the valve counterclockwise or to the left to fully open the valve.

      Examine the connection at the thermocouple. If the connection is loose, tighten it by hand.

    Burner Does Not LIght
