Instructions

    • 1

Open Dreamweaver and define a local site. CourseBuilder interactions don't work on unsaved Dreamweaver files. A local site is a set of folders on your computer that will act as a type of server and maintain the structure of the files as they would be on your website. Save the files to this local site.

To set up a local site, click on "Site" and then "New Site." Select "Local Info" in the "Category" list in the "Site Definition" dialog box. Type in a name for your local site in the "Site Name" field. Select a location to save the folders for the local site, such as "My Documents." Click "OK" and then "Create" when asked to create a cache file. Click the "Document" window to make the local site active.

Copy in the CourseBuilder support files to be used in your website. Click on "Modify," "CourseBuilder" and then "Copy Support Files." Click "OK."

    • 3

Insert in your first CourseBuilder interaction. Click on "Windows" and then "Objects" to open the Object palette. Click anywhere in the Document window to place your insertion point where you want to place the interaction. Click on the "Learning" panel of the Objects palette. Click the "CourseBuilder Interaction" icon for the "CourseBuilder Interaction" dialog box to open. Click on the type of interaction your want from the "Category" list. The interactions can be any of the elements that make up an online classroom environment or quiz items (such as multiple choice, drag and drop, fill-in-the-blank, etc.).

Continue adding CourseBuilder interactions until you have made up the course as you see fit. Click "File" and "Save" to save the changes.
