How to Remove an Illegal Microsoft Office 2007
When any version of Microsoft Office 2007 gets installed with an incorrect product key, the key will not complete the online activation check through Microsoft's servers. If a correct and legal product key is unobtainable, the Office 2007 suite will not work properly on the installed computer. To remove both illegal and legal copies of Office 2007, the standard uninstaller works but may leave traces of itself behind. Microsoft has released an uninstaller utility that completely removes all traces of Office 2007 from the computer.

Download the Microsoft Office 2007 uninstaller utility (see Resources).

Double-click the downloaded file to start the process. The process searches the entire computer and Windows registry for known items relating to Office 2007 and removes them.

Restart the computer after the utility has finished.
