How to Cancel an Equifax Membership

Depending on your financial status, some facets of Equifax's membership service might be useful to you while others might not. Fortunately, you have the option of canceling your subscription at any time without penalty.

Instructions

1. Dial 866-547-2622 on a touch-tone phone to reach the Equifax customer service line. The customer service hours are 8 a.m. through 3 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, seven days a week.

2. Choose the product cancellation option when prompted by the automated operator.

3. Verify your personal details with an Equifax representative. By doing this live over the phone, Equifax is maintaining the security of your personal information.

4. Discuss the refund policy and final billing options with the representative. If your product is billed on a monthly basis, the cancellation might not actually take place until the end of the billing cycle.

5. Log into your Equifax Member Center one last time and look for a note that your membership has been cancelled. You can also verify the cancellation by checking for an email from the Equifax customer service team.
