How to Use Casio FX 260
The primary function of the Casio FX 260 is to perform calculations to assist in school lessons or business endeavors. Upon receiving your device, you may have some questions about how to perform basic operations on your calculator. Following a few simple steps will have you using your Casio effectively and efficiently in little time. Learn to choose the appropriate calculation mode for your task, perform basic functions such as powering your device, and perform basic calculations to completion.

Calculation Modes

Choose "Comp" mode to perform standard arithmetic calculations by pushing the "Mode" key (the second button from the left on the top row of buttons) and then the "0" key (located on the far left bottom corner).

Select "SD" mode to perform basic deviation calculations by pushing the "Mode" key and then the "." key (located to the right of the "0" key).

Choose the "Deg" mode to perform calculations which include degrees by pushing the "Mode" key and then the "4" key (the button located third from the bottom on the far left side).

Select "Rad" mode for calculations using radians by pushing the "Mode" key and then the "5" key (located to the right of the "4" key).

Choose "Gra" mode to perform calculations using grads by pushing the "Mode" key and then the "6" key (located to the right of the "5" key).

Select the "Fix" mode to perform calculations with a number including a decimal point specification by pushing "Mode," "8" (located above the "5" key), and then a number key that represents the number of significant digits ranging from 0 to 9.

Choose the "Norm" mode to cancel the "Fix" and "Sci" modes by pushing "Mode" then "9" (the centermost button on the keypad).
Basic Functions

Push the "On" button (located in the far right top corner) to turn the calculator on.

Push the "Delete" key (the arrow key located second from the left and third down from the top) to backspace and delete the last number entered (the number farthest to the right of the input value).

Push the "C" button (the red key located to the left of the "AC" key) to clear all input entered and visible on the display screen.

Push the "Shift" key (the blank button located at the very top left corner) to access the secondary functions of each key.
Entering Equations

Enter equations in the order you would write them.

Press the "Plus," "Minus," "Multiply" or "Divide" buttons (located underneath the "C" button) in between numbers to perform standard multiplication, subtraction, addition or division problems.

Press the "=" button (the key located second from the right at the bottom) to reveal the answer of the input calculation.
