How to Clean Scented Oil Burners

Scented oil burners are a popular alternative to scented candles. With scented oil you can choose a different scent every time you burn it and mix and match different scents to create your own unique scent. Oil scents tend to be both more powerful and subtle than candles. However, when using a scented oil burner, it will be necessary from time to time to clean it.

Instructions

1. Dump the remains in the trash.

2. Wipe out the bowl with a paper towel.

3. Using a clean paper towel, scrub out the inside with soap and water. Dish washing soap is a good choice as it is specifically made to cut through grease and oil.

4. Comb out the wick with a fine toothed comb once the oil has dried, if the wick is very large.

Tips & Warnings

• If your oil burner is electric, do not submerge it in water or you will ruin the electric parts.
