How to Care for Boston Fern Houseplants
Boston ferns are recognized by their bushy leaves and lush green color. They thrive in humid climates that receive a lot of sunlight, so maintaining them indoors during the winter months can be a chore. While Boston ferns might not continue to grow very fast indoors, bringing them inside for the winter will protect them until spring arrives. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Place the Boston fern near a window that receives direct sun, preferably facing the east or west side of the house.
-
2
Keep the temperature of the room that houses the fern between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
-
3
Place the fern in a saucer with pebbles and fill the saucer with water. As the water evaporates from the saucer, it helps provide the humidity the fern requires.
-
4
Water the fern thoroughly when the top of the soil is dry.
-
5
Feed the fern with half-diluted, nitrogen-enriched, water-soluble houseplant food once a season, except in the winter.
