How to Import Smilies thumbnail
Add emoticons to your email messages and instant messaging conversations.

A smiley, or an emoticon, is a small animation or picture that can be sent with your messages on Windows Live Messenger. A range of default emoticons are available when you first install the program, but they're not very interesting. Many custom emoticons can be found and downloaded from the Internet. Once they are saved to your computer, they are ready to be imported.

Instructions

    • 1

      Visit an emoticons website.

    • 2

Find an emoticon image that you wish to import, right-click and select "Save Image As." Save the emoticon to your desktop so that it is easy to access.

    • 3

Log into your MSN account. Open the "Tools" menu and select "My Emoticons."

    • 4

Click "Create" followed by "Find Image." Navigate to your desktop and select the emoticon you download. Name the emoticon and choose a keyboard shortcut. Click "OK" to save it.
