How to Become a Lowe's Installer
Lowe's is a large nationwide home improvement store. Self employed contractors may find steady and reliable work by contracting with Lowe's as a professional installer. Lowe's conducts background and reference checks in addition to verifying proper licensing and insurance requirements for each installer prior to allowing the applicant to represent the company.
As a self employed contractor, you are responsible for providing insurance and paying applicable business taxes, but since you are running your own business, you are free to work on other projects in addition to representing Lowe's. However, Lowe's does require that contract installers give Lowe's projects priority scheduling.
