Homemade Oatmeal Scrub
Oatmeal is a miracle food, not just for your body, but for your skin as well. Oats are soothing, and help to relieve itchy, dry skin. When you mix oatmeal with other ingredients beneficial to your skin, you get a scrub that soothes while it exfoliates. Apple cider vinegar is good for your skin, as it restores the skin's pH and seals your pores. Honey and yogurt naturally moisturize your skin, while finely ground almonds gently scrub away dead skin cells, leaving your face with a radiant glow. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 tbsp. honey
- Small bowl
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. finely ground almonds
- 1 tbsp. plain yogurt
- 10 tbsp oatmeal
- Towel

Pour 1 tbsp. of honey in a small bowl and microwave it for approximately 10 seconds.

Add 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp. finely ground almonds, 1 tbsp. plain yogurt and 10 tbsp. oatmeal to the bowl of honey, and mix them until they form a smooth, spreadable paste.

Massage the paste onto your face in a circular motion. This will exfoliate your skin and remove the dead skin cells.

Leave the scrub on your face for approximately 15 minutes, and rinse it off with warm water, followed by a final rinse with cold water.

Gently pat your face dry with a towel--avoid scrubbing.

Tips & Warnings
Use rolled oats only--not quick oats or instant oatmeal.
Follow your oatmeal scrub routine with your favorite moisturizer for optimum results.
Discard any leftover scrub immediately.
