How to Make a Legal Contract on a PC
Legal contracts can be anything from an agreement to purchase a piece of property to a sublet agreement for your current apartment. Regardless of what specific type of legal contract you need to have, you can actually make one yourself on your PC. While you might see some software programs that offer to help you make legal contracts, you actually can use the programs already on your computer to draft a legal contract on your own.

1
Open a word processing or text entry program on your computer. Free programs that come preinstalled on a PC include NotePad and WordPad. You also can download OpenOffice, which is a free productivity suite similar to Microsoft Office. Some computers also might have Microsoft Word on them for you to use.

2
View a sample legal contract similar to the one that you want to make. The Onecle website (see Resources) has a library of sample contacts that you can view, including lease agreements and purchase agreements. You also can use an actual legal contract that you have as a sample.

3
Type up the legal contract to resemble what you see in the sample. Be sure to remove any information that refers to the parties in the sample contract and replace it with your relevant information. For example, if you are creating a legal contract to sell your car to a neighbor and are using a sample contract, just replace the sample's names with your name and the neighbor's name in the appropriate places.

4
Print out the legal contract once you finish creating it. Make sure that it looks okay. If not, go back and make the necessary changes before printing it out again.
