How to Play Fiki Football

Fiki football is a two-player, tabletop game involving a miniature football and a goalpost. The game's rules are loosely based on the rules of an actual football game. The first player to score 35 points in Fiki football is declared the winner. The official rules call for four downs per player, as well as a few other specifics; however, you can adapt the rules as long as you and your opponent agree on them up front.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up your game on a table. Flip a coin to see who gets the first possession.

    • 2

"Pass" the Fiki football four times to try to score a touchdown. A touchdown is scored when the football reaches the opposite edge of the table. A portion of the football must be hanging over the edge, but the football cannot fall off the edge.

Place the football on the table horizontally to pass. The pointed edge should be facing away from you. Flick the football by thumping it with your finger. A touchdown is worth six points.

    • 3

Kick an extra point after scoring a touchdown. Hold the football upright with the pointed edge facing up and away from you. Place the football at the edge of the game piece. Try to flick it between the goal posts. An extra point is worth one point.

    • 4

Surrender possession of the ball to your opponent after you score a touchdown. If you do not score a touchdown, surrender possession after your fourth attempt at scoring a touchdown.

    • 5

Let your opponent kick a field goal if your pass falls off the edge of the table. Make sure your opponent lines up the ball 22 inches from the goalpost. Whether or not your opponent makes the field goal, he retains possession after the attempt.

Tips & Warnings
