Instructions

  1. Self-Cleaning Function

    • 1

If the self-cleaning feature does not work, first check to make sure that the oven door is completely shut.

    • 2

Set the self-cleaning function by pressing "Auto Clean" on the menu panel. Set the cleaning time by pressing the arrow keys up or down on the "Temp/Time" setting to configure the oven to clean from anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours.

    • 3

Select "Enter." The oven door will automatically lock and the "On" and "Door Locked" keys will light up. Keep in mind that the door will not unlock until the oven completes the self-cleaning process and cools down.

    • 4

The "End" button will light once the cleaning process is complete. Press "Off/Cancel" to clear the display.

    Coil Replacement

    • 5

Push the edge of coil element towards you and away from the oven's receptacle. Lift the coil high enough for it to clear the burner bowl. Pull it straight out and away from the receptacle to remove it.

    • 6

Holding the replacement coil, align the openings in the burner bowl with the coil element

receptacle. Push the coil element terminal into the receptacle until it sits level.

    • 7

Once the terminal is pushed into the receptacle as far as it will go, set the edge of the coil element opposite the receptacle.

Tips & Warnings

  • Cookware used on Magic Chef stoves should cover half of the surface area of the coils or less. Cookware that is too large tends to produce excess heat, causing the burner to rust and change color.
