How to Create Fill-In Grant Applications
While grant applications can have an array of different formats and designs, there are several guiding principles used by granting organizations in creating their applications. Creating your own fill-in grant application forms will streamline the grant proposal process by ensuring that applicants submit the proper information without extraneous or irrelevant material. Also, saving a copy of the application will allow you to make suggestions quickly and easily in the future.

1
Choose an order to arrange questions on your application and consider how much space should be allotted for each question.
-
2
Open a word-processing program, such as Apple Pages or Microsoft Word, to create the fill-in grant applications.
-
-
3
Ensure that your instructions are written in a direct, concise manner throughout the application. This will help you to avoid misunderstandings that could potentially slow the application process.
-
4
Include the pertinent contact information and basic details about your business or organization near the top of the application. Next, create spaces for the applicant's name, contact information, address, title, business and membership.
-
5
Devote another section to give the applicant a chance to describe they're reasons for applying and how they will use the grant money if approved.
-
6
Finish the application with a separate section for the applicant's financial information. If you want proof that an organization is recognized by the IRS as a nonprofit, this would be a good place to request it.
