Postcard Album

A postcard is an inexpensive and compact souvenir from your trip. The best way to share your postcards is to display them. If you only have a few postcards, you can frame them and place them as artwork on your walls. If you have a more extensive postcard collection, then you will want to display them in an album. A postcard album allows you to neatly display your postcards, and it allows for easy storage of your collection.

Things You'll Need

  • Three-ring binder
  • Acid free, A4 paper
  • Adhesive photo corners
  • Three-hole punch
  • Pencil

Instructions

    • 1

Determine whether you want to display your postcards in order by trip, chronologically, by location, by color, etc. Place your postcards in your chosen display order and divide them into stacks of three. Keep in mind that a photo album page can hold up to three postcards.

    • 2

Count your stacks of three postcards. Take out as many sheets of A4 paper as you have stacks of postcards.

    • 3

Punch holes on the left-hand side of the A4 paper with the hole punch.

    • 4

Take one of your stacks of postcards and arrange it on a single piece of the hole-punched A4 paper. With your pencil, lightly mark where the corners of the postcard meet the paper. Remove the postcards from the paper.

    • 5

Apply the adhesive photo corners to where you have marked the corners of the postcard on the piece of paper. Erase any visible pencil marks.

    • 6

Set the corners of the postcards into the adhesive photo corners. Repeat steps 5 to 7 for each stack of postcards.

    • 7

Place the completed pages into the three-ring binder. Now you have a postcard album to display your collection.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a more formal postcard album, you can purchase a heavy weight A4 paper and more decorative photo corners at your local art or hobby store. You may also want to decorate the outside of your three-ring binder for a personalized touch.

  • Make sure the A4 paper is acid-free. If the paper contains acid, it will discolor and deteriorate your postcards over time.

  • Be careful to not bend your postcards when placing them in the adhesive photo corners. If you are struggling to place in the postcard in the corners, then you may need to adjust the photo corner placement.
