How to Acquire a Business License

When you start a business in the U.S., you must obtain certain licenses and permits to meet the legal requirements of your location. The specific steps you must take vary widely by location and type of business. Some forms of business require only a simple form and a small registration fee. Other businesses, such as those dealing with food or chemicals, require more permits. Without the proper licensing, your business could be in jeopardy of serious financial fines or worse.
