You can make a gentle, but effective cleaning mixture for shower tile.

Over time, shower tiles can become dirty and dingy. They easily pick up stains from mineral deposits in the water. The heat and moisture in a bathroom also causes mold and mildew to accumulate. It is fairly easy to keep your shower tiles bright and clean. You don't have to use expensive cleaners that contain harsh chemicals. You can make your own tile cleaner at home using common products. Things You'll Need

  • Spray bottle
  • 2 tbsp. baking powder
  • Water
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ammonia
  • Rag or sponge

Instructions

      Pour the baking soda, ammonia and vinegar into a quart-sized plastic spray bottle.

      Add warm water to the bottle until it is full.

      Screw the top onto the bottle tightly.

      Shake the bottle well to mix the contents.

    • 5

      Spray directly onto shower tile and wipe off with a rag or sponge.
