A successful bazaar booth should display items in plain sight and be sturdy and easy for browsers to access while looking neat, attractive and intriguing.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Determine the amount of space available.
Step2
Use portable folding tables if tables aren't provided.
Step3
Borrow small shelves, quilt racks and display cases as space allows.
Step4
Cover tables with tablecloths and add a few seasonal or theme-related decorations.
Step5
Plan the arrangement of items. Step back and be sure customers can easily see them.
Step6
Make sure prices are clearly marked on all items.
Step7
Place your chair, cash drawer and calculator in a central location behind the merchandise.
Step8
Stock plenty of change and paper or plastic bags.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have several of one item and are short on space, display one or two samples and keep the others on reserve.
  • Work in shifts with other volunteers to allow all of you to take breaks and enjoy the festivities.
