How to Set Up a Bazaar Booth

A successful bazaar booth should display items in plain sight and be sturdy and easy for browsers to access while looking neat, attractive and intriguing.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Determine the amount of space available.

  2. Step 2

    Use portable folding tables if tables aren't provided.

  3. Step 3

    Borrow small shelves, quilt racks and display cases as space allows.

  4. Step 4

    Cover tables with tablecloths and add a few seasonal or theme-related decorations.

  5. Step 5

    Plan the arrangement of items. Step back and be sure customers can easily see them.

  6. Step 6

    Make sure prices are clearly marked on all items.

  7. Step 7

    Place your chair, cash drawer and calculator in a central location behind the merchandise.

  8. Step 8

    Stock plenty of change and paper or plastic bags.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have several of one item and are short on space, display one or two samples and keep the others on reserve.
  • Work in shifts with other volunteers to allow all of you to take breaks and enjoy the festivities.
