Towing Instructions for a Nissan Altima
Though small passenger vehicles are not designed to tow large loads, sometimes it can become necessary to do so. The Nissan Altima can tow loads up to 1,000 pounds with a trailer tongue weight of up to 100 pounds. If the trailer meets these specifications and the vehicle has a towing hitch installed, the setup and towing instructions for a Nissan Altima are the same as towing with any other type of vehicle.

Tips & Warnings
Do not exceed 55 mph while towing.
The tow weight cannot exceed 1,000 pounds and the trailer's tongue weight cannot exceed 100 pounds.
Be careful backing up while towing. Allow plenty of room.
Take corners wide. Towing a load restricts the car's ability to make tight turns and U-turns.
